United Methodist Men
To Help Men Grow In Christ, So Others May Know Christ.
Fair View United Methodist Men meets monthly on the second Sunday of the month. We hold a breakfast meeting starting at 7:00 (breakfast) then 8:00am Meeting in the Fellowship Hall. Several of the men actually get there early for cooking and preparation time. All men are welcome to attend both the breakfast and the meeting or help cook. We typically have a time of devotion, review our financials/budget and then discuss old and new business.
Our current leaders are:
Chairmen: Eddie Brotherton and Wayne Beyer
Communications: Barry Price
Some of our key events are:
-Yard Sale: Our May 2017 Yard Sale raised a little over $820 due to the generosity of FV and the donations. We use those funds to support areas within our church, our community and to further the mission statement of FV.
-Cook or grill hot dogs for the kick off event of VBS.
-Host and cook at the annual pool party at the home of Glenn and Glenda Piper.
-Cook and host a booth at the Fall Festival as well as assisting with parking and many other areas.
-Host the annual Christmas dinner at Golden Corral. Guests pay for their own meals but we typically come up with games and ways for those who attend to get to know each other and have some fun!
-Host Men's Sunday (usually held around the new year).
