Reverend Allen grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  During his college years at UNC-Chapel Hill two very exciting things happened.  First, he met Elizabeth Stamey, of Greensboro, and she eventually became his wife.  Second, he felt a calling from God to prepare for a life of Christian service.

After Seminary training, he served as an Associate Pastor at a number of non-Methodist churches in North and South Carolina.  Ten year's later, Brian obtained a Master's Degree in Counseling and worked in the mental health field for six years.

In 1998, Brian began his record of service in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.  He served at Centenary in Greensboro, Tryon in the Asheville area and then at Irving Park in Greensboro for 13 years.   In 2018 Brian became the Senior Pastor at Fair View UMC.  His training and experience as both a pastor and a licensed professional counselor has prepared him for this season in his life.

God has blessed Brian and his wife Elizabeth with a daughter and a son.  Their daughter Lindsey is married to Kevin Murray, and they both work for Cisco and reside in Chicago, Illinois and their son Charlie is a rainforest biologist at Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas.  Brian and Elizabeth also have rescued two dogs, Lucy and Willow, and they share a prominent place in their life and home.

Brian and Elizabeth are glad to be at Fair View and look forward to how God will work through all of us at this important time in the life of Fair View UMC.

Reverend Brian Allen

Senior Pastor

Having served over seven years at Fair View UMC, Dr. Harrison continues to see God's finger prints on our ministries, programs and people.  She is available for Pastoral Care, consultation, visitation and prayer.  You will find her striving to address the needs of our community, teaching Bible Study classes, working with senior adults and always willing to offer a helping hand.  Fair View, as a community-based congregation is open to our neighbors, especially newcomers.  Our playgrounds are welcoming to all, our programming is directed outside our walls and visitors and guests are always well-received.  Our mission program reaches beyond the local area to the far corners of the world taking God's Good News into difficult places.  Know that God loves you and encourages you to become part of a faith community.  You are welcome here!

Kimi has been at Fair View for over 10 years.  She began working in the nursery and that is where her love of teaching young children blossomed. At Fair View, Kimi is responsible for staffing the nursery and making sure all of the children's needs are met.

Kimi loves music, especially when it is used a way to sing and  and praise our Lord through song.  As a result, she can often be found in the sound booth or singing in the choir.

Kimi's role at Fair View has prepared her well for her own life as she has a baby of her own on the way and is very excited to show her own son the love of Christ.
