Reverend Brian Allen, Senior Pastor

Reverend Allen grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  During his college years at UNC-Chapel Hill two very exciting things happened.  First, he met Elizabeth Stamey, of Greensboro, and she eventually became his wife.  Second, he felt a calling from God to prepare for a life of Christian service.

After Seminary training, he served as an Associate Pastor at a number of non-Methodist churches in North and South Carolina.  Ten year's later, Brian obtained a Master's Degree in Counseling and worked in the mental health field for six years.

In 1998, Brian began his record of service in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.  He served at Centenary in Greensboro, Tryon in the Asheville area and then at Irving Park in Greensboro for 13 years.   In 2018 Brian became the Senior Pastor at Fair View UMC.  His training and experience as both a pastor and a licensed professional counselor has prepared him for this season in his life.

God has blessed Brian and his wife Elizabeth with a daughter and a son.  Their daughter Lindsey is married to Kevin Murray, and they both work for Cisco and reside in Chicago, Illinois and their son Charlie is a rainforest biologist at Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas.  Brian and Elizabeth also have rescued two dogs, Lucy and Willow, and they share a prominent place in their life and home.

Brian and Elizabeth are glad to be at Fair View and look forward to how God will work through all of us at this important time in the life of Fair View UMC.
