Raising preschool age children can be uplifting but it can also be challenging and it can go from one to the other in a second. For some women, it is difficult to meet and connect with other moms in the community who are in the same season of mothering. MOPS offers a safe place where mothers of preschoolers can meet to share the joys and challenges while offering support, encouragement and mentoring to one another.
Regular meetings are a combination of teaching sessions, small group discussions, fellowship time, and creative activities. The group also regularly hosts speakers on topics relevant to mothers of preschoolers. Meeting topics include subjects like parenting, marriage, personal development, relationships, homemaking, family life, and more.
Fair View UMC MOPS participates in other planned events including Mother’s Nights Out, twice monthly playgroups, and family gatherings. The group is involved in outreach in the local community.
Meetings are held at Fair View UMC on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 9:30am to 11:30am. Fair View UMC MOPS meets each year from September to May.
If you would like to join us for a meeting or one of our playgroups or if you just want to know more, contact Amy Stiel at 704-929-8736 or astiel575@yahoo.com. An RSVP is required for meetings so that we can adequately plan childcare.

What are MOPPETS?
While moms are participating in group meetings, their preschool age children are being lovingly cared for in our MOPPETS program. Our youngest MOPPETS enjoy supervised play time while our older MOPPETS have the opportunity to enjoy crafts, stories and other planned activities.
All MOPPETS workers and volunteers have been background checked and have received Safe Sanctuaries training, per our chartering ministries policies.
