If you have an interest in learning to quilt or already quilt we encourage you to join us for a time of fellowship and creativity. The FVQuilters meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 9:30-2:30 at the Ballard House. After a time for devotions at the start of the meeting we make lap-size quilts for donation. Currently, we contribute the quilts to Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County. We have been told that the quilts mean a great deal to both the Hospice clients and their families.
We have been able to make and contribute quilts thanks to the generosity of a local fabric distributor as well as contributions from several groups to cover the cost of other supplies. We have opportunities to learn basic quilting skills as well as other techniques to enhance these quilts.
Would you please express a very deep appreciation to those at Fair View Church for the Prayer Shawl knitted sent to me following my cancer diagnosis? It is beautiful and has been used when I have a chill. It is readily in sight and reminds me of the love, compassion, and concern of those who knitted it. What a labor of love!! I have read the blessing several times that is printed on the card sent with the shawl. God is great, God is good, God is love, and He is in control. Without His continuing presence, my days would indeed be long.
With appreciation from both of us,
Bobby and Patsy Price
