Fair View Youth News

Thank you for your prayers, support and encouragement for our Youth Retreat at Fort Caswell. It was a success and we could not have done it without you! We had 17 attendees and enjoyed our own cottage, cooking our own meals learning new games, a ferry ride, wiffle ball, and sharing in Communion. We attended four sessions on being Fearless in Temptation; Doubt; Mission; and Opposition. Everyone agreed that they enjoyed making our own schedule and felt less rushed — a tradeoff for loud music and a professional speaker.

SEPTEMBER 29TH

Join us for the next 5th Sunday Luncheon when we host an end of summer indoor picnic and ice cream social. We will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, salad, and macaroni and cheese and games, but you will need to bring your own ice cream. Their will be an award for the Best Homemade Ice Cream!

MONTH OF SEPTEMBER

Fair View Youth will be working on cleaning up around the church grounds and finishing the volleyball court. They will also be starting a new series on HEAVEN.

MONTH OF OCTOBER

On the first Sunday of each month Youth will meet from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. All other Sunday’s will continue as scheduled with Sunday School at 10:00am. This change will provide families with the opportunity to worship and share communion together. It is also a great opportunity to invite friends to come. We will have FOOD, games, and a devotional time or mission! Please let Patty Brotherton know if you are able to help out with the First Sunday Youth Meals.
