Happy Fourth of July!!!

FROM DR. HARRISON

What do you consider the hardest question for Christians to answer?  Some might say:  Was Jesus really human and divine simultaneously?  Is the Holy Spirit really God?  Is the entire Bible true?  What happens next?  Come Sunday as we tackle the one ranked hardest by most people, pastors included.  If you want to read ahead, Luke 16:19-31 will be our scripture.  For our overachievers, read also 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 and 2 Corinthians 5:1-10.

Check out the Spiritual Gifts Assessment.  It takes 10 minutes and gives your results only to you.  It is important to know what God has shed upon you which will give you confidence to put your gifts to use often.

PARSONAGE WORKDAY, JULY 7, 9:00 AM

Volunteers are needed to help prepare the parsonage for the arrival of the Allens. Please bring any of the tools, utensils, rags, brushes, and etc. that one normally needs for these chores. Contact any of the Trustees for more information.

YOUTH

Because many families are on vacation, our group will not meet this Sunday, July 7.

CHANGES/CORRECTIONS

  •  The UMM breakfast meeting scheduled for this Sunday, July 8 will be held at McDonald’s instead of the church. We will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 8:45 so folks can make the 9:00 service.
  • Bible Journaling will meet Wednesday, July 11 at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 14 at 10:00 a.m. Both meetings are in Wesley.
  • SpiritUS payments should go to Patty Brotherton.
  • If you did not receive a July copy of The Sounds of Fair View you may download one here.

THE ALLENS

Be sure to use revbcallen@gmail.com when emailing him. We will have one service on July 15 that begins at 10:30 a.m. followed by a covered-dish luncheon. Be sure to bring a side or dessert to share. Ham, chicken, and drinks will be provided.
